I developed the custom wordmark for this new non-profit who wanted to avoid equating classic with old-timey. I took inspiration from old lettering with the L–A relationship and took care to balance out the word “classics” by selecting a typeface with large character width for the C but a smaller character width for the A and S.

I particularly like the deployment of the trapezoid across multiple medias: the movement on the website, crossing from the front to the back, taking center stage, and a detail on a footer. The client was inspired by the quote “the stage is now,” so the stage stays with us throughout the system.
